​MBNA "WORKING GROUPS"
Projects that affect MBNA member boundaries have been assigned to the different MBNA "Working Groups."   These groups are chaired by MBNA Executive Board Members. Group Members volunteer annually at the MBNA's Annual Meeting.  They must represent an ​active MBNA Member Condominium Association or Hotel.

WORKING GROUPS
Beachwalk Working Group
Chair: Alicia A. Casanova
  • Projects include: Beachwalk design and safety issues, Pedestrian Beach Path, signage, surveillance cameras, paver maintenance, vegetation encroachments, vehicle deterrent bollards, benches, lighting

Beach and Water Quality Working Group
Chair: Oscar Vazquez
  • Projects include: Sargassum, Beach Concessions, Seawall Ordinances, Beach Re-Nourishment,
    Turtle Nesting, Kite Surfing

Development Working Group
Chair:  Randy Hollingworth
  • Projects:  New and abandoned construction projects and derelict buildings

Public Spaces Working Group
Co-Chairs:  Randy Hollingworth & Oscar Vazquez
  • Projects include:  Public Parks, Indian Creek Waterways, Charter Vessels, 63rd Street Bridge, Sidewalk Utility Markings, Miami Beach Promenade, Citywide Kiosks, MidBeach Access to Bayshore Park, Bus Stop Shelters.

Transportation Working Group
  • Co-Chairs: Alicia A. Casanova & Avra Bank
  • Projects include:  Collins Avenue South and North Project (25th to 63rd Streets) roadway improvement projects, Indian Creek Drive Flood Mitigation, Pedestrian Path, Seawall, Bike lanes, landscaping, lighting & roadway safety.

Condominium Working Group
Chair: Susanna Santoro  
  • Projects include:  Supporting issues that impact Condominiums from 25th thru 63rd streets on Collins Ave. and Indian Creek Drive.  These include permitting, safety issues, traffic concerns and more.

Homelessness Working Group
Resident Lead: Patricia Agnello
  • Projects:  Supporting the City of Miami Beach’s homelessness response with resident participation that is safe, non-duplicative, and constructive.

CONGRATULATIONS to ALICIA A. CASANOVA, our MBNA Vice-President.
The City of Miami Beach officially proclaimed May 28, 2025 as "ALICIA A. CASANOVA DAY" in honor of her outstanding contributions and dedicated service to our community. Alicia has been serving as Board President of the Green Diamond Condominium Association, and of the Blue and Green Diamond Master Association, for the past 25 years. She's also the Vice-President and Co-Founder of the MidBeach Neighborhood Association (MBNA) working tirelessly on numerous projects that impact our area. Her unwavering commitment, strong leadership, ethics, and passion for serving our community will certainly have a lasting and positive impact on all of us.  Thank you to Commissioner Laura Dominguez for nominating her and to Mayor Meiner and all Commissioners for their support. Congratulations Alicia on this well-deserved recognition!
