MBNA MEETINGS The MBNA typically meets nine times per year on the first Wednesday of every month; (unless there's a City of MB Commission Meeting or Legal Holiday.) Meetings typically take place virtually on Zoom. The Annual Meeting takes place in-person during the month of April. The Miami Beach EDITION HOTEL has been hosting this meeting for the last two years. During our meetings we discuss and/or take action on a variety of issues that affect our MidBeach community.MBNA Members, elected Officials, and City Staff, make presentations at these meetings. Updates on upcoming projects are provided and ideas are exchanged. All members are encouraged to attend our informative meetings. NOTE: MBNA MEETINGS ARE NOT HELD IN JUNE, JULY, AUGUST or DECEMBER.
NOVEMBER 5, 2024 MBNA MONTHLY MEETING VIDEO RECORDING:
The November 5, 2025 MBNA Membership Meeting opened with an extensive discussion—led by a non-Executive Committee member—regarding the proposed Fontainebleau waterpark and its potential traffic impacts on the surrounding community. A poll was taken, and based on the conversation, MBNA added the project to the “Other Topics of Interest” section of its website. Afterward, the formal recording began. FDOT presented the I-195 Double-Decker Bridge project, followed by updates on the Bayshore Park connection from East MidBeach over the pedestrian bridge through Flamingo Park, including the current lack of a 28th Street crossing at Pine Tree Drive to access the new park. Additional presentations included the southbound Indian Creek Drive two-turn-lane proposal approaching 41st Street (Authur Godfrey Road), the 38th Street and Collins Avenue Road Traffic Safety Audit, and the Art Basel Traffic Management Plan. MBNA's "CANDIDATES FORUM" MEETING - September 7, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. (via Zoom) MINUTES OF MEETING:
Immediately after the MBNA's Candidates Forum, the Executive Board appointed JOSE EDUARDO FLORES (from the EDITION HOTEL) to fill the vacant seat for MBNA "Hotel Representative." A Motion was made by Justin Jacobs and seconded by Deb Lake. All in favor. Motion passes. The Board welcomed Jose Eduardo Flores to the MBNA's Executive Board.
MBNA President, Anamarie Ferreira de Melo, also announced that due to personal reasons, Board Member Robert Rabinowitz would no longer be serving on the Executive Board. Board Members appreciate Robert for his years of service and commitment to the MBNA. This Executive Board position is now open to a person that is authorized by their Board to sit on the Executive Board as a Condo Representative.
