TRANSPORTATION
WORKING GROUP

TRANSPORTATION WORKING GROUP
Co-Chairs:  Alicia A. Casanov
a and Avra Bank
Topics include:  FDOT Construction projects on A1A and Indian Creek Drive within the MBNA Boundaries, Julia Tuttle Causeway issues, crosswalks and other safety and traffic concerns.

All MBNA Members are encouraged to actively participate in every Working Group.

The MBNA's Transportation Working Group is dedicated to monitoring, sharing updates, and providing timely information regarding transportation projects — particularly those managed by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).  We recognize FDOT’s commitment to delivering infrastructure improvements that meet the evolving transportation needs of residents, businesses, and visitors alike, so we will work City and State Staff to serve as liasons with our members and provide valuable feedback.

On this page, we provide direct links to major transportation projects impacting the Mid-Beach area, including:
  • Collins Avenue South Street Projects – from 25th Street to 41st Street
  • Collins Avenue North Street Projects – from 41st Street to 44th Street
  • Indian Creek Drive – from 25th Street to 41st Street
  • Crosswalk to Bayshore Park
  • Julia Tuttle Causeway (I-195/State Road 112)
COLLINS AVE. NORTH
COLLINS AVE SOUTH
INDIAN CREEK DRIVE
CroSSWALK TO BAYSHORE PARK
JULIA TUTTLE CAUSEwAY
The MBNA will closely monitor these and other projects to ensure that construction activities do not adversely affect commuters or local traffic flow. We will maintain regular communication with FDOT and City of Miami Beach officials to track issues like construction work hours, street closures and detours, staging areas, project schedules and timelines.  Through this ongoing collaboration, we aim to promote transparency, minimize disruptions, and ensure that all infrastructure improvements are carried out efficiently and responsibly.
