APRIL 30, 2025: MBNA "ANNUAL MEETING" at the Miami Beach Edition Hotel.
Our Special Guest Speaker was FDOT District 6 Secretary DANIEL IGLESIAS who provided us with valuable information regarding our upcoming roadway projects and will be looking into the possibility of allowing the City to painting ICD bike lanes in green like the rest of our City.
Mayor Steven Meiner gave us updates on numerous issues that impact us. He also announced his appointment of our MBNA Executive Officer AVRA BANK, to his Mayor's 41st Street Committee.
Deb Lake was honored and thanked for her many years as our MBNA Founder and Executive Board Member. She will continue volunteering her time working under the MBNA's different Working Groups.
Jorge Pante was nominated as the MBNA's new Executive Officer.
We also honored and presented the following persons with Awards:
Police Officer of the Year
Honoring Captain Luis Sanchez for outstanding leadership and dedication to public safety within the MidBeach community 2025
Founding Board Member Service Award
Honoring Mrs. Deborah Lake for her dedicated leadership helping to shape and strengthen the MidBeach community 2017 to 2025
City Commissioner Aide of the Year
Honoring Mr. Luis Atencio in recognition of your dedication and contributions to our MidBeach community 2025
City Committee Representative of the Year
Honoring Mr. Esteban Procelli for representing MBNA on the Transportation, Parking, and Bicycle-Pedestrian Facilities Committee 2019 to 2025
City Vendor of the Year
Honoring Ms. Veronica Briceno with Infinite Source Communications Group for exemplary outreach throughout the Beach Reforestation Project 2025
